We love vintage merchandise (which is probably why we also have a website dedicated only to vintage sports merchandise) and although these Cubs and Pirates don't qualify as "vintage" insofar as they were made only recently, they are modeled after the vintage cap of days gone by, so we love 'em just the same. This MLB-295 design takes us back to a simpler time, predating television and the internet. It's a polyester/cotton twill, with hook and loop closure. We think you'll love them as much as we do. Bangladesh. Check out the photos...
Not too much has changed with the Cubs ball cap (style-wise) over the years. The team colors certainly haven't. The only noticeable difference between this M-295 cap, and the current edition the Cubbies wear, is the shape of the "C", which on this cap is more oval than the circular "C" of the Cubs' current style. In fact, the Cooperstown Cubs "C" logo is more reminiscent to that of the Cleveland Indians cap of three quarters of a century ago. Outdoor Cap chose not to get fancy and mess with tradition, so you have a nice 6 panel structured polyester/cotton twill with the adjustable hook and loop closure that's so popular today. It's a nice 3D logo and includes the MLB logo on the left temple (as do all the current Outdoor Cap entries). Oh, and yes, this style has a curved bill!
And what's not to like about the vintage Pirates cap? Classic old school!
Anyway, let's recap the features of these caps:
- Officially Licensed by Major League Baseball.
- Structured Ball Cap.
- Team Colors.
- Official Team Logo (of the depicted era).
- Nice Embroidery.
- Adult OSFA.
- Hook and Loop Closure.
- Made by Outdoor Cap.
- Made in Bangladesh.
